I agree with you. I think it's pretty silly and perhaps one of the last areas that the NCAA has any power to set rules.

Accidentally hit the like button. But OU is probably backing the truck up. They have always recruited Texas well.
I asked my grandson (who played at Texas) about that same topic.
He told me they played “smash mouth” football. Even though he hated them he had a high respect for their game.
Unlike the Ags, who he had no respect for whatsoever
