2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

You're right but you're being a little vague, my friend

He will pick a team playing in the sec in 2024 that has an animal mascot. Now if that's not specific then I don't know what is...
The big scoop on On3's podcast, was that "Simmons already knows where he's going..."  That's insight worth paying a lot of money for!!

Simmons might well be verbally committing to the bayou bengals on Thursday but the ultimate ink to paper might not happen for a while which means Texas will have the oppurtunity become creative in pushing all the right buttons to flip Simmons.  At first I felt confident but as we get down to the actual date I feel its slipping away.  Either way this goes it will not end of his recruitment.  I cannot imagine the kind of NIL deal this guy is going to get.  How much will it take to allow Colin to move from it being a heart decision to a good business one?

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one since he was waaaay out in front of the Gipson recruitment, and Simmons is another South Dallas kid.

We shall see.
Well, it seems as though Roach put in a CB for Texas for Simmons.  Granted, the CB had a confidence level of 4, but still in favor for Texas.

Scruggs at 247 just posted that he "loves" where his Texas crystal ball is at for DE Colin Simmons.

He mentioned he's had a quiet confidence the past few days, but after speaking with several Dallas sources today he's more confident that Texas will win out.

Each source talked about factors in Texas' favor currently, including proximity to home, life after football, early playing time and his relationships with the Texas coaches/players.

Roach's article said the family preference is Texas and he believes the decision has been made.

There were some other details in favor of Texas that he said he couldn't elaborate on.

I was thinking about this last night before I went to sleep.  I was weighing the after football benefits of Texas vs LSU, and unless one grew up in Baton Rouge, I just don’t think there is a doubt that Austin is a great choice.

Look at the opportunities that former Texas football players have.

If Kwiatkowski can develop Joe Tryon into a 1st round pick he'll absolutely do it with Simmons.  This staff has proven developers and we saw it last year, especially defensively.  This roster is loaded with future draft picks that are going to get developed under this staff and that narrative from opposing schools is about to be thrown out the window.  Sark just needs to win now.
