2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

CENTER
Cruz (Texas heavy favorite, commitment likely within 48 hours)

GUARDS
Brooks IV (Texas appears to lead, but Kibble commitment may have taken his spot)
Carter (scheduled to officially visit in September)
Ivy (A&M, LSU and Texas - not clear who leads, but Texas likely to take him)
Kibble (committed to Texas)
Saina (priority for Texas and they look good)

TACKLES
Baker (down to Ohio St, Oregon and Texas)
Calhoun (fight between Georgia and Texas)
Thanks. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Only 2 tackles is a tad odd. Better get at least 1!

That's a reflection of a few things like who they took last year, two targets they liked (Daniels, Williams) choosing to go elsewhere and not scheduling an official with another (Uini).

The staff will adjust their strategy if they don't land Baker and/or Calhoun.

It's a silent because the player committed to the staff in order to reserve his spot.

If anyone doesn't believe there are silent commitments out there, they aren't reading the massive tea leaves right in front of their face.
Oh I belive there are silents. Also belive in todays recruiting a spot's reserve is on thin ice. Both ways staff and. commit.

It's certainly not a good practice to draw out your commitment if you've made a silent to someone.

Few guys can get away with that.

Per IT, DE Deshawn Warner of Goodyear, AZ will be committing on July 1st.

However, they said don't expect Texas to push here due them looking good with other edge prospects, specifically the recent news with DE Colin Simmons.

That makes me nervous. Warner is a good prospect. Simmons could totally change direction. A bird in hand . . .

Love how this sets up for Texas as you're potentially getting a commitment every couple of days for weeks.
