2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

Cool interview, very open and transparent about the process.

Should we really consider him more of a 2026 recruit though if he is planning a 2 year LDS mission?

Not a fan. HS athletes already spend an abundance of time on the game. They need to be kids and enjoy their high school years, too.
I'm not seeing a lot of incentives here for the "top" football talent to do this, especially blue-chippers who are already going to be making money off of NIL in high school.

Hell, I talked to a kid the other day who was offered a preferred walk-on spot by Texas Tech and all of his costs will be covered because of their NIL deals.

This is off the charts wrong. How will this affect kids enrolling in June? What would Sark say about this if one of his prize recruits signed up?
Goes back to my comment above about why a top kid would even sign up, and how they will fill these teams with so many moving parts related to college recruiting.

I can already hear recruiters..."we won't recruit you if you play in this league. We can't guarantee your scholarship if you play."

My first reaction is this will be a bunch of younger or underrecruited players trying to get looks from colleges.

A guy like Hudson, Simmons or Lacey doesn't need to touch this.

I can't believe highly ranked recruits would consider this. What benefit would they get? All it takes is one injury to lose their future.

This could only work in negotiating NIL. Pay more to not play in the league.

I'm not sure where the funding is going to come from to sustain the league and pay the players.

We need to get going. Hudson has to be a must land now.
IT thinks Livingstone will be the first WR. They seem to be toning it down on how many players could commit this summer. I'm starting to wonder if Sark and company are playing a dangerous game of eggs in a basket and slow play. Not enough skins on the wall yet.
