2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

IT reiterated today that the staff wants both RB Jerrick Gibson (Bradenton, FL) and RB Christian Clark (Phoenix, AZ) in this class, and there's some confidence that they'll be able to land them.

They've heard from Arizona folks who believe Texas is in the driver's seat for Clark as things stand.

That leaves the in-state guys as third and fourth options, and they mentioned Ohio State is trending well with RB James Peoples (San Antonio Veterans Memorial) currently, but he'll be in Austin for the spring game.

Very intresting if Horns take two RBs with 5 returning, someone must be portaling .Plus Red returning to WR.

Know staff is high on Gibson, but Young is bigger and faster just not so highly rated.

Speed is great, cannot get enough. May be Texas has some one who can coach up the WRS. Teach how to catchthe ball.( Bullet Bob iearned how)

And a QB to hit them if open. Has Texas ever had a player from Idaho?

Sorry, Can't agree with you. Collins is a difference maker. It's time for the staff to convince him he's the bell cow.
Agreed.  We need to hit the opponents QB way more often than we have.  Collin Simmons does that.

While i respect your views Easter and like your posts, I think a game changer on the line can be very disruptive and help the DBs by forcing the ball out sooner so I am going with Collins as a bigger need at the moment.  If the quarterback has time, someone will get open.  I think we are weaker at the pass rush rather than DB at the moment.  Regardless, no reason we can't prioritize both!  Great to hear MM is doing well.

3 to 1 out voted. So you all had rather have a 4 star DT over two 5 star and one 4 stat DBs.

Roster note. 7 DTs due to return. Good room by numbers

12 DBs due to return thin in numbers need 17 or 18

We don't have to choose. It can be both. DE is where we need to pass rush. IMO, we have some real talent on board already at DE. Sorrell will break out next year.

Just mythinking butwould rather have the three DBs than a DT.
Collin is a DE. You'll be surprised how much better our DBs will be with the opposing QB laying on his ass or running for his life. Collin helps you accomplish that.

You are correct wedo not have to choose. Six DEs should return, so one isneeded
