My point was that no HS recruit since Sark took over has even broken into the DT rotation, unless you count Murphy from the transition class. Bledsoe is closest as our 6th DT (this assumes Ross stays at DE). It could be that guys like Bledsoe, Mitchell, and Bryant turn into studs, as lower-rated guys like Sweat and Murphy have. But I think we've all seen the numbers that show you need to be recruiting 4/5* guys if you want to stay in the CFP conversation year-in and year-out. You're not going to find diamonds in the rough consistently. This staff has been lights out in this regard at most positions, but DT has been a struggle.

If wants to go there and never win and not be developed go for it. Texas recruiting will be fine.

Seem's like DT is the hot topic. Depth shows 3 seniors of whitch 2 could return. (I would be happy if they do, 3-4 year vet. is always better than any hot shot freshman)
6 returning (1 might go pro.) 3 commitments = 9-8 for next year, room crowded as a can of sardines.
DE about the same. 8 returning ( 1 pro?) 2 commitments =10-9 morecrowded.
LB is weak position!

I have to agree LB is by far the weakest position group going into next year but I can’t help but feeling that the coaching staff knows something we don’t know.

He's a Florida native and committed to Florida long ago, but they didn't elaborate if he and Texas are in the preliminary stages and just talking or if there's substance to it.
