My poor memory can not remember when TT did not have a pretty good passing QB plus fair recievers.

They did have pretty good QBs, but there was a reason they were going all out for a caliber QB like Ewers last year in the portal. They have no one on their roster near the Ewers/Manning level. All I'm saying is if I was a WR and it was a pure football decision, Ewers/Manning trumps anything TT has. Hell, Murphy would likely be their clear cut #1 right now. Not saying that as a bad thing because I really, really like Murphy. However, he has major comp at Texas and will be fighting to be #2.My poor memory can not remember when TT did not have a pretty good passing QB plus fair recievers.
The fact Herman didn’t offer Jackson Smith-Ngiba was a major head scratcherAll the ones on that list before Hudson are easier to swallow now based on our QB situations during those lean years. Plus, you factor in Herman (not Stewart) and Strong eras and the turmoil that followed. I 100% agree with you there.
However, there is nothing you can do about Hudson picking TT over a Ewers/Manning led offense during his time. That my friend is what you call an anomaly.
I can't say on Warner specifically, but IT did say the staff had to slow a few guys down.Word is we had a certain 4-star DE from Arizona wanting to commit last weekend and we told him to slow it down.
Anyone know about this?
Yay! Finally a Texas target cancels a trip somewhere else that isn't Texas.Per 247, RB Christian Clark has canceled his official visit to Georgia this weekend.

I doubt NIL was a deciding factor. He presumably grew up a Tech fan, and they were apparently able to convince him that they would be able to prepare him as well as TX for the NFL. He will get more targets, but also more double teams. Assuming he plays up to his apparent potential he will be ready for the NFL whichever team he chooses.I agree, but you misspelled NIL in the last sentence.
Let me introduce you to Bobby Layne. He led the Detroit Lions to the NFL championship in 1952, 1953, and 1957. In the 1957 season, he was the starter the entire season before breaking his leg in the 11th game (they only played 12 back then). But they did go on to win the championship. On QBS has Horns ever had a QB that won a pro. championship?
I believe Baker's mom is Polynesian and got very close with Lefau and Akana's moms if I'm not mistaken. Small thing, but might be helping a bit to have that connection.According to IT, there continues to be positive communication with OL Brandon Baker since his official to Austin last weekend, and there's some growing confidence on Texas' side of things.
The interesting note is Baker saying he doesn't have any plans to visit Oregon again before a decision, but he will head to Georgia this weekend.
One person commented "it sounds like Texas is running a close second," and Hamilton responded he wasn't so sure about that hinting Texas may have pulled ahead.

They followed up on Kibble this morning saying this shouldn't be seen as just a normal official, and that Texas would very likely accept a commitment.IT saying OL Nate Kibble of Humble Atascocita will be in Austin this weekend.

Baker and Akana's mothers found out they were related when visiting UT together.I believe Baker's mom is Polynesian and got very close with Lefau and Akana's moms if I'm not mistaken. Small thing, but might be helping a bit to have that connection.
