Apparently he wanted to visit austin today and was told no by the staff.
If true, I'm glad the staff is drawing a line in the sand.  However, could it be hypocritical of them if they didn't do the same thing with Niblett and Burrell?

Well hybrid, edge, buck, star.and other terms get confusing to a old man I prefer the old termslike a buck was till silver.
I'm with ya on that. I don't really understand those terms, either. You're a LB or you're not. Doesn't matter that the coach wants you to blitz a lot from the edge.

No, because both of those guys communicated with the staff on everything.

Spencer did not. Staff found out about it from a 9.95 site. Pissed some people off.

According to TFB, apparently Trey Wisner recently took a trip to Lubbock. They say Wisner might not be so happy with his standing in the class and has a different view of his role at UT. They say Texas may be looking elsewhere.

I kinda agree with him. With the dudes we have in the RB room (and likely more to come in future classes) I don't think Wisner has a great shot at seeing much PT.

Texas sees him as a complimentary back, with a different style than the others. Kinda like Keilan Robinson, but not as fast.

He wanted to be the main guy and like you said, with the other top backs in the room, that wasn't likely to happen. We'll see if he chooses to stick or leave although that decision may have been made for him, it sounds.

Yeah, I didn't quite see what his role would be. I thought maybe a. K. Robinson role, but he doesn't seem to have the same top end speed.  I also wasn't sure how well he caught the ball out of the backfield.

A more serious takeaway, Mike Roach said he's a better prospect than Malik was.

De La Torre is a coach at Denton Ryan, Texas Ex so that does help with these kids.

Taking 2 4 stars over 1 5 star? I'm not really sure that checks out at the best method of building a championship roster.

Oh, and of course Hill wanted to go to aggy but his handlers are making him go to Texas. Poor Kid. haha

These guys are really just going through a tough time right now. Poor Aggy
