Got ?about recruiting, have noticed ed that alot recruits are listed high 3* or low 4* from 86 -89. LB,edge,OT, S. Is there reason?
Not sure what you're asking, bud.

The coaches evaluated and targeted a lot of these players early before they even had their current rankings, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I think the coaches are pursuing the types of players they want in particular and are not worried about rankings.

Connor Stroh is a good example. 3 star OL but we know Flood wants to pursue "big humans" of which Stroh is one of the biggest.

If/when Manning commits to Texas, I'm anticipating a bit of reset in recruiting to the point where the staff will be fielding calls from big names they aren't even targeting currently.

I'm still of the same opinion I was months ago that Manning to Texas isn't on the radar for the majority of the football world.

It would be a "WTF" shocker for many and then the madness starts for the good guys.
Agree. No matter how much footprint Sark has in this recruitment, the ESPNs of the world are so accustomed to Bama and Gawgia dominating everything that they refuse to think Texas could win this. And their readers are drinking that same kool aid.

The surprise to me right now is how confident everyone appears to be. The guy I know, other sites, this site, it's an unusual confidence. Its almost like Arch has given a silent or something.

TFB said today that Texas leads.

Roach of 247 has put in a Texas crystal ball for LB S'Maje Burrell of North Crowley.

Burrell said the staff did a great job of making everything feel like home, and his family loved the visit.

He's connected well with Coach Choate, and also has a growing friendship with LB De'Marvion Overshown.
