2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Just enjoying life. Played golf 3 days in a row on my brand new knees (that's plural), going to see both grandsons play basketball and baseball tomorrow, and got to visit with my friend Maddie Luitweiler, who played golf at Texas a few years ago, last night.
Sounds like you've had a good series of days. A tip of the hat to you my friend. Can't get enough of those good days.

Appreciate it! Just turned 71 two weeks ago and, like they say, every day you wake up is a good day ?

And I would be remiss If I didn't say that I, and I'm sure a lot of others on here, appreciate what you bring to this board. Sure, we can go both and forth at each other at times, but it's all in good fun.

And happy belated birthday, too!

I'm right behind ya. lol

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, its all in good fun. We're here to have fun and enjoy ourselves. This board is a better board because you're on it.

LB/S Johnathan Hall of Katy High will be in Austin next weekend, according to 247.

Texas is pitching him a hybrid role and he's a fan of that.

Him and Jayvon Anderson from North Shore seem to fit the same mold.  It'll be interesting to see if we'd take both, prefer one over the other, or whoever would want to commit first.  I watched Hall's hudl and he's violent.

Everything being written on Cook this weekend indicates the staff took a hands-off approach and let him chill with guys like QB Arch Manning instead of making it a typical recruiting event.

It appears that was a big positive for him.

247 had a quick update on QB Arch Manning and the visit atmosphere for recruits.

They've had multiple sources tell them that things have gone from cautious optimism to a louder confidence that Texas can eventually close the deal with Manning.

Recruits have reached out to them to talk about all of the buzz this weekend and what they think Manning will do, including one prospect asking when Manning was going to make it official so he could commit too.
Realistically, assuming Manning does commit, when will that happen?

IT believes a summer decision is the most likely scenario for him right now, and they're still hearing he could return in April.

They feel better about their Texas prediction after this weekend, but emphasized again it's not over.
