247 posted a little background on DE DJ Hicks of Katy Morton Ranch recently, and his connections to Texas.

Hicks grew up going to UT games because his father coached WR Roderick Bernard at Houston Sharpstown, and DT Jordan Elliott at Houston Westside.

There's obviously a long way to go with him being a sophomore, but Sark has taken the recruiting lead on this one and Hicks should be in Austin multiple times this summer.
