2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Texas with one commitment is # 23 or so. Early but some positions in Texas are low in bodies. Edge or DE, WR, DBS, are very plentiful.

1 top RB, 5-6 OL maybe 2 TES. 2-3 LBS.

Hope when dead period is over staff goes hard and heavy and gets early jump on rest of conference about fourth now.

Little bit of a head scratcher of an offer?
From Hamilton at IT:

"He is down from 430 pounds last spring. Had him at Elite Underclassmen Camp ... he's got a hell of a lot of ability if he gets down to the 350's. Real foot quickness and ankle flexion."

Coach PK obviously wants that big gap plug on the defensive line.

Anyone carrying 430 pounds is going to have a strong lower body out of necessity. If he can maintain that strength while dropping more weight, he could be just what PK is looking for.

It will be interesting to watch his offer list. That's what will tell the tale for me.

247 reporting there is growing buzz in the coaching community that former Duke HC David Cutliffe will join Texas' staff as an analyst.

This would be a huge move for Sark as Cutliffe is close, and has a history, with the Manning family.

From wiki: "Eight quarterbacks whom Cutcliffe coached in college have gone on to play in the NFL:] Heath ShulerPeyton ManningTee MartinEli ManningErik AingeThaddeus LewisSean Renfree, and Daniel Jones."

Yeah, I'd say bringing him in could be helpful in landing Manning.
