Hamilton at IT said today picking Notre Dame based on each team's QB situation would be an odd choice for a kid who's such a heady player.
I’ve heard Greathouse described as a “good route runner”, “highly productive”, “red zone target” and now “heady”. These are the terms you use to call a receiver slow of foot without hurting their feelings.

If that's the case, what's his short area quickness like?  He doesn't have to be the fastest if he can get in and out of routes quickly and ultimately catch the ball

Looks like the staff is looking for guys that can take a 5 yrd swing pass and turn it into a 70 yrd td. Guessing Greathose is more of a " posesdion" receiver.

He could be a 1,000 YD receiver but I’m not sure we could get him the 300 receptions needed and keep anyone else involved in the passing game.

This is an area that I trust Sark and crew the most. He has been highly successful with receivers.
I just want to see some success in the win vs loss columns.

This season will tell a story. Did Sark have a look in the mirror moment this offseason? Has he grown up in the job?

Sark had a “look around the locker room moment” last season and spent the offseason addressing the issues.

We needed more talent and less complacency. The story this season will be if the roster overhaul was successful or not.

I agree but how do you quantify this in terms of wins and losses?  For instance, what if this team goes 6-6 with a bowl win?  While that improvement would be considered marginal, is it enough to show that the team is trending in the right direction?  I mean a lot of young guys would have to grow up pretty quickly...

1. Losing to Kansas - unacceptable

2. losing to Iowa state 30-7 - unacceptable

3. getting outscored in 4th quarter to okie state by 16 points to lose - unacceptable

4. getting outscored by Oklahoma in 4th quarter 25-7 to lose. - unacceptable

Im not blaming Sark completely. He did inherit the team. But the things above are not good. We got to turn that around.
hook ‘em !!!

It’s not good but the staff deserves blame. Sark needs to fix the culture in the program and needs to remove self-entitlement too.

For me an 8-4 regular season and depending on the matchup a bowl win.  I don’t consider anything less than 8 regular season wins improvement.

I expect us to lose to Alabama but we can’t be physically dominated like we were against Arkansas last year. We need to prove we can play an SEC style of football.

I know I suffer from the We Are Texas syndrome but honestly Bama is the only team on our schedule that we have any business losing to. We lost 5 games by 8 pts or less and there is no way we won’t be much improved offensively with the guys we added.

That Bama game will be ugly. We ain’t in the same ballpark as them. It hurts me to say this.

Bama' was vulnerable on road last year.  Lost @ aggy and barely got by Florida and Auburn, and those two teams weren't that great last year.

Look, I don't think we'll win, but I think it'll be competitive and that Sark will take some shots down the field and connect.

Notre Dame has the best class in the country currently. Tons of history and prestige. Great academics. And a young coach that the players love. I get leaving Austin to go there right now.
