Apparently the issue is the university requires the last 60 hours of your degree to be from the university but there is work arounds available that the staff can use to get him on campus.

IT saying while Houston WR Matthew Golden is not officially in the portal yet, he's been speaking with several Texas players and doing his research.

One immediate connection is Golden being a high school teammate of RB Jaydon Blue at Klein Cain.
