2023-24 Transfer Portal Thread (PORTAL CLOSED)

Interesting. Burton said that Texas was telling Daniel's what a priority he was and it hit home with him. Auburn had 5 receivers on visits when he was there, but was the only receiver Texas was pursuing. You snooze, you lose, I guess.
Reading IT and 247 this morning, Texas is pursuing Daniels.

LSU emerged as a contender this week and he'll be in Baton Rouge this weekend.

Sounds like it will come down to LSU vs. Texas, so sorry for any confusion.

If I remember correctly, he talked a lot of crap about Texas when he got to Nebraska.

As I recall, he made one negative comment that related to players not getting cars at Texas. It seemed like an unfortunate statement, but I'm over it.

Going into 24, Texas has a very talented, albeit, inexperienced group of WRs right now. Moore, Golden, Wingo and Cook is a solid 4. I would rather go all in on Ryan Williams than take up a slot with Daniels. I know, I know, get them both and let the best talent win. That would be ideal. However, if Texas grabs Daniels now then maybe that sways Williams to Auburn (which is a strong possibility anyway). Williams is in another class of WR in my book and get him at all cost. Fast, high points the ball, lightening quick lateral and catches everything. They will be fine with what they currently have, but Williams can contend for starting minutes day 1. Just my thought on this.

What I keep hearing on Willliams is he would be the best receiver if you combined the '24,'25 and '26 classes, so yes, he is a priority.

So am I, but based on what Tope Imade posted, Casey might not have been the most popular guy on the roster, to say the least

I believe he also made some negative comments about the WRs around him, something along the lines of having more talented WRs at Nebraska than what he had at Texas.

He wasn't a class act on the way out the door.

Recruiting from the portal has to be crazy. Just when you put your attention on a great-looking recruit, a potentially better one drops into the portal.

Nahlin at IT already put in a Texas pick at 80% for Bond.
We just one of those DT's to hit the portal and head our way and we are set. Niblack at TE can come to. When's the absolute last day a player could transfer and enroll in class?

Huh ? He was lights out in the Alamo Bowl. He was the one bright spot in the game against the pigs in Sarks first year.

He was one of the nation's top qb's statisticlly and was on track to setting all kinds of UT season passing records till he hurt his thumb against ou...
That must be why Sark recommended the portal for him
