Yeah, but it doesn't seem as close to happening as Perkins. Thompson is liking what he's seeing. If we beat OU, I think he commits. I don't think he'll be alone, either.
IT still has Perkins at about 30%... He won't do anything until he knows for sure when we will be in the sec..

Isn't the week of OU when we're supposed to announce when we're leaving the big XII? And also when a certain 5 star and some flip commits

247 reporting Texas has been kicking the tires on an extra QB in this class to prepare for any potential roster changes in the off-season.

Two names mentioned were Devin Brown of Draper, UT who is currently committed to USC, and Richard Torres of San Antonio Southside who is a Nebraska verbal.

Another to keep in mind at the JUCO level is General Booty of Tyler JC whose uncle, John David, played for Sark at USC.

General Booty, what a name!

I will say this . . . Texas may lay out an announcement around or after the OU game. It may or may not be in conjunction with OU but Texas will announce we are paying the exit fees to the Big 12 to join the SEC in 2022.

Can't speak for OU but everyone seems to think they will pay too.

I've seen this spoken of at TFB and my buddy down in Austin has said as much as well.

If this happens, there will be 1-3 recruits who will commit or flip to us. At least one of them is a 5-star.
SHA, any updates on this?

I once heard it was the plan to announce early entry into the SEC. I have not heard different.

SEC just released next year's schedule. We're not on it (except for OOC game with Bama). This is probably posturing on the SEC's part so Bowlsby can't claim SEC pushed the early exit by UT and OU and file a lawsuit.

IMO, if Texas and OU want in next year, SEC will make it happen.
