With Gilbert now at Texas, you'd think that would help Texas know for sure what they are getting.

I have long since quit trying to keep up with nuances of the bylaw changes so I'm asking, can P Wilson play at Texas before year 2023 since Texas hired his head coach, Gilbert, as Dir of HS Relations and Wilson is in the 2022 class?  If the restriction is still in place, hypothetically, can they sign him in the 2022 class but gray-shirt him to 2023?  I dont think he would do that and from Texas' perspective, I dont think Sark puts the same value on tall, slower receivers that Herman did ...but just wondering out loud

Is this the same that kid that de-committed right after Ewers did?  Was he ever re-offered by the current staff?

He did jump ship with Ewers.

I don’t know if he was offered again by the new staff but it seems Sark and Co. are confident enough in their position with guys higher on the board to pass on Wilson at the moment.

Apparently he wanted to commit again but wasn’t allowed since we hired his HS coach Gilbert. Don’t think they’d take him anyway but it gave both parties a reason to part ways.
