Back on Ewers, the fact is he left three teams so  far and the honest truth is no one really knows why.  Oh, there has been plenty of speculation and opinions, but no one really knows except his family.

It's no scoop that he is coming to Texas.  He is and that is all there is to that.

IT added that Austin is Perkins' favorite city, and his favorite staff is Texas.

That still may not be enough to win the recruitment, however.

I noticed Banks tweeted that he has an announcement to make on Dec. 15.

IMO, that bodes well for Texas.

I've seen premature news derail recruitments.

IT was told to keep it quiet.

Hard to know if Roach's source was the Brooks family and if he had permission, but my personal preference would be to let it marinate and just hint at it like IT did.

When the kid makes a decision, you can circle back and give the details.

I'm not paying much attention to it, but OrangeBloods reporting Texas went in-home with S Jacoby Mathews recently.

He won't sign until February and still has several schools he's looking at, but the NIL opportunities and chance to play immediately at Texas are keeping his attention.

OrangeBloods talked to Douglas' head coach today and he doesn't expect him to sign anywhere next week.

He said he has an amazing catch radius, he's a tremendous baseball player and also plays basketball.

Above all of that, he's a great locker room guy and very modest.
