Recruiting bores me.

If you are a team that hasn't been in the college football playoff's ever, and haven't won a conference or national title in more than a decade, you are not going to get the pick of the litter. Especially if you are currently losing. Recruits want to be in the spotlight so the NFL will notice, that takes a winning team.

The last time Texas did anything worth mentioning was the 2019 Sugar Bowl. That's not enough, see above.
At first i thought you were talking about Texas A&M.  That fits for them as well.

The last time your team did anything was 1939.

Nonsence to you not to me. Is there a guarantee that Stewart is going to be a great WR? All recruits have a chance of not making a good player.

If you take Stewart no spot for any one else OL or DB. If he is not taken you might get a player who can help team play better.

Texas has been down for a dizen years or so OL has been weak for a dozen years or so. Maybe there is a connection.

All not important as bag man has approached.

Final question who would take Stewart or Campbell?
Stewart is a known commodity and is ranked like one.

Most of the same category of OLs have either already declared or are leaning in a different direction other than UT.

At this stage of the game, the pickings are slim for OL. Its 4th quarter and most schools have either scored or are getting ready to.

You continue to chase what you can – QUALITY – but don't just bring aboard another warm body or project.

For your OL needs, its probably going to be the portal. And this is a good thing. You get a veteran with experience who can play right away.

But you don't skip past a player like Stewart because there might be some 3-star somewhere who hasn't found a home yet.

To answer your question, I find a way to take both. Maybe a grey shirt for the deep snapper or something.

On balance of team roster.

There is a difference in saying all players maynot make it. Than take a player at a needed position over one not needed as much by numbers at positions.

Lets the coaching staff has a better idea on whats going on

No its no either or, it is take the players at position of need espically where numbers are low.

To mea balanced roster has a better chance of winning over one that not.

Is Texas's roster balanced?
That didn't last long.

Just messin' w/ ya!!

SHA in a above post you listed 5 Ol they are unsigned and 4 or 5 stars not exactjy slim pickings!

Now only one space available only take one Stewart or Campbell the player who helps the team?

And yes I know WRS are the darlings in every ones eye but games are won in the trenches by angry young men.

Portal players are great for a quick fix but after one year in most cases they leave you with original problem.

Just because they're unsigned doesn't mean they're coming to Texas.

Thats a moral victory. Who celebrates moral victories?

aggy does.

When will you come out of the closet on this?
We celebrate beating Aggy the last time, and will for eternity. THAT is a moral victory.

You calling names, and accusing me of being a Aggy troll, is a very weak way of avoiding debating Texas woes.

It was an actual victory last time I checked and will resonate until the rivalry starts up again and we lose.
