Top 3: Hodo grounds out to 3rd. 1 out

Kennedy grounds out to 2nd

Ivan strikes out.

Very quick, low pitch inning for ECU. What they needed there.

Bottom 3: 1st batter works a 4 pitch walk.

Nice bounce back at bat with a strikeout looking for out 1.

Slugger Bryson Worrell up to bat. Liner to Stehly. Almost doubles up the runner at first. 2 outs

Seeing eye grounder to the right side, just past a diving Melendez. Runners on the corners

Stevens gets a soft grounder back at him, makes the play and ends the threat. End 3 Texas 9-1

If you told me we got 3 innings of 1 run ball out of Stevens, I would take that any day.

He is around 55 pitches. Could see him on the mound next inning but probably with a short leash.

Stevens evidently got rid of the jitters with the first 2 short outings.

Hansen looked like he had the jitters Friday. These fans have been doing their best to create a home field advantage.

They were going nuts at the resumption of play too but the additional 5 runs in the 2nd really calmed things down and it seems docile currently.

Top 4: Stehly hit by the first pitch he sees.

Todd - grounds out to 3rd but does advance Stehly to 2nd.

Messinger - rips a liner to LCF gap but tracked down by the left fielder for out 2.

Ardoin.- HBP to put runners on 1st and 2nd

DC - chops one to SS for out 3

Bottom 4: Quick F8 for out 1

Strikeout swinging for out 2. 4th k for Stevens

Slicing liner to left field for F7 and out 3.

Stevens through 4 innings, around 65-70 pitches. He may be back out for the 5th with a short leash. He has pitched enough innings to give us plenty of options going forward.

Woo-hoo, Faltine!

That air must be really heavy since the rain.

Top 5: Faltine crushes one over left field wall. Texas up 10-1

Hodo grounds out to 3rd.

Kennedy - grounds out to right side.

Ivan - strikes out.

Saylor for ECU has been huge, thats 3 innings of 1 run ball to dig ECU out of pitching hell. Not sure how much longer he can go after the heavy load yesterday

Bot 5: Stevens back on the mound

Walks the first batter on a 3-2 count, pitch was probably in the zone.

Single through the left side to put runners on 1st and 2nd.

Grounder to 2nd base. Called a double play on the field. review
