I don't know why you wouldn't go ahead and offer. Kid may have thought the offer wasn't coming and took the best place he had an offer to at the time. However, sometimes small town kids pick a place and stick to it, even though they get better offers down the line.

I had high hopes for Hand but wow, he does not seem to be able to recruit very well at all. Not sure who out there would be a better OL hire but the performance on the trail and on the field are not good testimonies of our current OL coach.
