So will Saban "process out" the smaller Brock once the bigger Brock enters the draft, the same as he did to Tua's brother?

Good question. If he can produce he will stay. If not good chance he is phased out.

Will Tom move brother back to walk on status?

Might be cheap, might be nessary. There is four former walk ons  three LBS and a deep snaper.

Ships might be better utilized for better players. The WOS have had one year free ride so why not.

If he does no one will care.

Also Saban picked up another top 100 OL today.  The rich get richer.

The disparity in talent between Bama, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia and everyone else is widening every year.

Thats so true. Its odd that in the past, players would sign with whatever school they liked with the belief they would have a part in turning it around and getting to the league. And you could get there from anywhere. The great Larry Allen came from Emporia State.

These days they want to go to a winner and, like you say, the rich get richer. But of course, they play the games for a reason because anything can happen on any given Saturday.

A source I have is telling me a new commitment is eminent, so I am going to float this out there . . .

Having a three-deep was the topic of conversation. Pardon my mistake.

You recruit some 3 stars because the ratings services aren't as accurate with their evals as some like to think they are. Take one look at all the 3 stars who made it to the NFL. Well, according to Rivals and others, they shouldn't have.

But you're saying we just recruit a bunch of three stars and that's simply not factual.

Junior Agilou was a 4 star

Rhaffit Ghirmai was a 4-star

Issaiah Hookfin was a 4-star

Tyler Johnson was a 4-star

Jake Majors was a 4-star

Reese Moore was a 4-star

Denzel Okafor was a 4-star

Logan Parr was a 4-star

Thats EIGHT 4-star OL. Thats the same number of 4-stars OL Bama has on its roster right now. Bama also has a 3-star OL.

Yeah, a palace. Your own palace isn't as bad as you're apparently thinking.

The Brocks weren't supposed to go anywhere else? Tell that to Casey Thompson's daddy.
the topic was cross training vs depth.  We don’t have depth plain and simple, we have numbers  It’s because we end up taking more project OL than we should out of necessity.

Not factual be cause it’s not what I said.  Yes we take 4* kids, but we take 3’s as well.  Hoping the 3’s pan out over a 3 year development doesn’t build you depth.  Landing guys like walker Little and Brockermeyer is how you build depth.  Guys like them can be ready so much quicker than a Reese Moore who was a TE in HS, Willie Tyler who knows how far he’s behind due to playing Juco, Mikey Grandy - where is he now?, Christian Jones who might play in his third year,  etc.....

Texas has missed on guys who could’ve played as Redshirt freshmen on a 2nd unit and been productive.  Instead we’re still moving guys around because the ones we took are still developing.  Herman has got to land these guys moving forward to build true depth.

Strong’s classes looked good on paper but often shitty on the field. Many of them never even saw the field for Texas.
Charlie could recruit them but seemed to have more than a little trouble getting them coached up and ready to play

Sounds like Clemson is currently putting a closing on Mukuba right now. He could commit very soon.
