Hard to believe Blake would have beef with Herman after he put Luke on scholarship. He is a Longhorn. But when Bama REALLY wants someone, they get them.

He doesn't. Texas has recruited the Brock's as well as they can. They've left no stone unturned. Alabama has Saban, players get rings and linemen go to the pros. More Than Texas. Much more. And there is more that I can't divulge and it doesn't have anything to do with under the table money. If I talked about what it is I could be open to a lawsuit, so....Hard to believe Blake would have beef with Herman after he put Luke on scholarship.
I have a question for you Doc, I get that Bama and Saban have established themselves over the years and they should be viewed top tier, but does the trend / trajectory for UT OL come into play here a little. What I mean is, Bama regularly gets high 4 and 5* OL and they should be drafted, but UT has a 3* OL projected in the 1st rd and another in Kerstetter that will most likely be drafted? Hand and Herman are just now starting to see returns on their development. In a couple more years you could see additional lineman drafted from their development program. To me that's trending upward. When was the last time Texas had a 5* OL recruit? Pat Hudson was near that and that was just unfortunate for the young man. Tyler Johnson is the highest rated OL in the bunch, but he hasn't had the time yet. It would be more worrisome if Herman and Hand had multiple 5* recruits that didn't develop. It just seems that time is working against UT at this point for this recruitment. If Tommy and James are as good as they're being rated, I don't think UT would stunt their development and prevent them from being drafted, at least Tommy. I think Cosmi and Kerstetter prove that.He doesn't. Texas has recruited the Brock's as well as they can. They've left no stone unturned. However, Texas is still in it, but Bama is a monster.
Don't give up yet.
Changed default text to black. Let me know what else you guys want! Happy to fix.I'm sure they would if they know its a problem. @Aaron Carrara
You're a Longhorn and I am a Longhorn. We both think Texas can offer as much as Alabama. But the truth is, today, we can't. Perhaps Saben carries around a copy of the Texas OU game from last year? That would give any O-lineman pause.I have a question for you Doc, I get that Bama and Saban have established themselves over the years and they should be viewed top tier, but does the trend / trajectory for UT OL come into play here a little. I think the issue is with the dad, not the brothers. Thats just what I've heard. And yes, odd given that he's an alumni and former player.Odd since a brother is on the team??
Any chance that Dad being a former stud OT himself, isn't crazy about Hand or Hand's coaching technique for O-Linemen? Not sure if this is what Doc is alluding too, but I think the earlier point is valid in that we haven't exactly been flooded with a ton of 4* and 5* linemen that we aren't developing. We're taking some 3* and 4* kids and getting them in the league like Connor and will soon have Cosmi and Kerstetter there too.I think the issue is with the dad, not the brothers. I don't see how Blake can think Hand isn't a developer of OL. He's done it at every stop and the only 2 OL Herman took in his 1st class, one is projected top 10 pick and the other could end up going in a decent round as well.Any chance that Dad being a former stud OT himself, isn't crazy about Hand or Hand's coaching technique for O-Linemen?
