Rumors are swirling that Kendrick Blackshire (LB, Duncanville) will be committing to Bama in the next two days . . . and will be followed a few days later by the Brockermeyers.

Good thing the tank is full, there ain't no gas for us here.
Good, rather them do it now and move along than waiting and stringing it out.  I get what they want, but I still don't know how a legacy kid or kids grow up Longhorn fans, get a scholarship to be Longhorns and don't choose them.  My son is/was nowhere near the talent level, but he would've jumped at a Texas offer and never looked back.  I guess some kids are just more die hard Longhorn fans than other.

It doesn't mean they can't be flipped at some point. If we beat LSU and OU, look out. If we beat OSU, we're (gulp) possibly talking about a CFP berth.

Just as easy as that can happen though, the bottom could fall out just as easy. We're one injury away from being a very average offense. Cross your fingers.

Also another rumor going around that a certain OL prospect we've liked for a long time, and is committed to another school, is getting chummy with a group of our recruits in an ongoing chat.

No, but after looking at offers we've made and those that are currently committed elsewhere . . . Donavan Jackson? Matthew Wykoff? Reuben Fatheree? Jaeden Roberts? Jonah Miller?
Tough to say who with any real confidence, but my best guess would probably be Miller. I've thought we would have a good chance to flip him if visits started back up

I think that is a solid choice.  The name that popped into my head immediately was Reuben Fatheree. I figured he would already be friends with some of UTs recruits.

I sat in the section at a game last year where recruit are typically seated. I saw Fatheree walk up. Kid is tall. He's got a frame to build with, good long arms, seemed like a nice kid. Still had a lot of baby fat but I'm sure that's already disappearing at 18.

Any one got a good guess on class size? With 11seniors and two possible pro. prospects,  with 14 commits they woulg be one over limit.

Then the four walkons on ships could be pulled for three more spaces.

Attrition  maybe two LBS? Be intresting to see it play out.

Cook, Mitchell are probably gone. Cosmi, Ossai and Sterns could easily declare early.

Cook is definitely gone, but for the right reasons. He wants PT and was passed by a younger player.

Mitchell has been a head case since he got here. For the sake of the kid getting relief, let him go.

I think Ossai is going to have a monster year. Sterns MUST have a monster year because last year saw him drop way down the draft stock ladder. Cosmi just needs to be Cosmi and keep on keeping on.

Unfortunately, this year's class size would not be affected by early draft departures next spring.

Cook leaving brought the limit to eighty five. Agree with SH A Sterns would have to have a great year to go pro. Reason I said two posible pros.

Might find room up to five more might be as low as three.

Didn't know where to post this, other than here.

Played golf yesterday with a few of my hoodlum friends.  All are UT connected and all have heard that all of the coaches are confident we will win the conference.  The coaches also feel that although OU is always a test that OSU will be their biggest challenge.  They think the Brocks are waffling between Bama and us and the only reason is because of their dad (there are some things I can't reveal).

But the consensus is that this team will be on a parallel with the 2009 team and maybe even better.
