SignUp Now!I don't think we're doing much at any recruiting. ?Knox just got Fong'd to Miss. State, seriously, wtf are we doing at WR recruiting?? ?
I guess I just don't see a need at WR this cycle. They have:I don't think we're doing much at any recruiting. ?
I agree there are positions where we don't need to recruit as hard, but Texas has just not had any momentum while other schools are adding good players to their class. It's like Herman and Co. are just sitting on their hands during the coronavirus shutdown.I guess I just don't see a need at WR this cycle. They have:
Jr - Eagles;
So - Moore, Smith, Washington and Woodard
RFR - Whittington and Lewis (maybe)
Gr8 - Omiere, Dixon, and Harrison
Granted, that's not a lot of proven WRs or All-American ones, but that is a lot potential and deep room that will likely all be back for the 2021 season. If I'm a young player I don't see a big opening for playing time for at least 2 years. With that said, you take a top talent if they want in, but the numbers could be used elsewhere imo. It sucks that those players are picking other schools, but the roster may look more promising. That's just my opinion.
The staff has zeroed in on 3-star Hal Presley (Mansfield Summit) 6'3, 190 and also 4-star Ketron Jackson (Royse City) 6'2, 190. Jackson has very good speed. Quay Davis is committed elsewhere, but Texas is still pursuing and many think he ends up back in this class.I don't think we're doing much at any recruiting. ?
I absolutely agree with you that other teams are getting recruits while Texas is not. Im not sure what they're gameplan is, but based on recent history i have to think they have a plan. I have to. Three top 10 classes in a row lets me give them the benefit of the doubt for now.I agree there are positions where we don't need to recruit as hard, but Texas has just not had any momentum while other schools are adding good players to their class. One WR would be about right for this class. With numbers being tight there are more pressing needs than WR. IMO.

He will be committing tomorrow. It's a TE. I can tell you its not Arroyo or Crownover.TFB said it’s a silent commitment so we probably won’t know anytime soon
OrangeBloods says soon, possibly tomorrow.TFB said it’s a silent commitment so we probably won’t know anytime soon
Jackson has committed to LSU.247 reporting there will be some bad news this week as well.
Several LSU crystal balls have come in for DE Landon Jackson of Texarkana Pleasant Grove.
