2020 Recruiting Board/Thread

Lulz Hamm is saying Herman was bashing the SEC and aggy to recruits yesterday and that it turned Demas off and he is no longer considering Texas.
Its actually true this time, but deceptive as well. Herman did say some things about the SEC, but mostly things favorable about the Big 12. Texas and Dumas are both turned off, but it had nothing to do with what Herman said to those recruits. Thats all I'll say.

Time to move on.

I say lets sign Broughton and then hire his Dad to be the first one off the team bus every game.....let the other team think they get to face that guy....
Now that would be hilarious.

Kinda feels orchestrated, doesn't it?
The thing is, everything Herman said was truth backed up with fact:  We beat the #2 SEC team convincingly, beat the highest scoring SEC team last year, aggy doesn't play in championship games or NY6 bowl games.  If Demas didn't like this, then to quote Colonel Nathan Jessup; "You can't handle the truth!"

From what I've seen the weekend was a success and guys like Broughton, Lindberg, Garth, Majors, Evans, Dorbah, are more important anyways

So looks like it's coming out on the Texas side now that Herman didn't really say anything and that Sam may have gotten in front of the recruits and spoke his mind on some things.  Apparently Demas may have been singled out a time or 2 in a joking manner and didn't take kindly to it.  Dude is brainwashed.  Just remember, an attack on the SEC is an attack on aggy.

On a weekend where Texas made major progress with a lot of good 2020 prospects, the biggest story centers around whether an A&M commit had a good time or not.

People need to put the Demas recruitment in the same category as Javonne Shepherd’s. There are going to be a lot of twists and turns.

Oh, and Zach Evans needs to be in that category as well. All these spring visits are just schools jockeying for position. He has been adamant he is not making an early commitment. His recruitment won’t be won until late this year or early 2020.

Like others have already said, it’s interesting that after a successful recruiting weekend that a negative story involving an A&M Commit was leaked via A&M sites. Not to mention there are conflicting stories so the truth is likely somewhere in the middle.

Anyways, Texas did well with some big time targets this weekend and this stuff with Demas won’t change that.

Yeah I would keep demas away from the program.
You know, normally I would disagree and say you keep recruiting a talent like that, but this might be the exception.  I dont think he will budge from the ATM love so dont waste anymore time or resources on him.  Time to move on.
