These really are strange times. Kingsbury takes a defensive player over a WR in the 1st round.

Five Big 12 players selected in the first round. Two gooners, 2 toads and a tortilla flinger.

Hopefully the Cowboys can take Delpit since Duggar is already gone. But the last S drafted this early by the Boys was Woodson.

Curious pick by the iggles. They spend a 2nd rounder on a back up? Or has the Wentz injury bug made them look for another starter?

That makes the dearth of UT draft picks even more profound.

I just used dearth and profound in the same sentence.....it's time to go to bed.

Through 4 rounds LSU has had 12 players drafted.  I have to believe they will be a much weaker team next season, and primed for a loss to Texas.  Yes, we have had very few drafted this year, but we have experience returning.  I’m sure LSU has quality guys to step into the roles of the drafted players, but I have to believe that they will be a bit green and this will decrease the LSU team talent next season.  Now fill up the shot glass with burnt orange Kool-Aid and chug.

Texas WR Collin Johnson was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 19th pick in the 5th round.

Out of that eligible players list, Texas really only had 6 guys eligible: Jones, Johnson, Duverney, Shack, McCulloch and Roach.  So, 50% got drafted and 2 already got picked up as UDFA.  Texas should have a good showing next year, although I'm hoping they don't because that means Ossai, Sterns, Green and other Jr's. are returning for their senior season.
