Hamm the pool boy nos saying Shepherd with stick with Texas...... Wait for it...

Aggy no longer has room for him.....
Classic Hamm!  This has been one of the best months I can recall with aggy tears.  The Georgia win, then passing them in the recruiting rankings and pretty much finishing ahead of them, and then the Bru transfers.

Got a feeling this whole year will be great.  We'll have a much better class and better year on the field while they still sputter around and it'll still be "Don't care, got Jimbo", "SEC!!"

Sit back and enjoy the show.

I'm not sold on this kids work ethic.  We need the bodies, but we don't need a cancer.  If he signs with Texas, I hope he works his ass off to see the field within two years.
Unless u know the kid, u have no clue what his work ethic is. Following a kid on twitter means u know the kid? Not u but any of us who think we know x,y,z about any of these kids. We know their Hs film and some twitter posts, that’s it.

If u do want to analyze some of this “ethics” then he has reportedly lost 18-20 lbs in past few months. That good work ethics to me, seems like he is focused on getting in shape to play 2019.

Confused how Mizzou gets it so much worse off than UNC did. Crazy to me.
Per twitter, Mizzou self reported and got penalized. Increase didn’t surf report and got penalized. If u self report anything , AD should get fired. Let the ncaa find out themselves, why be honest? Ncaa said something to the effect of, “we still hope teams self report.” Umm, No dude, and hope you and ncaa dies in 2024

Good to see that Mike Farrell says Bru was lied to.

Bru McCoy
was at USC for a couple of weeks or so and decided he had enough. Kliff Kingsburywas gone and so was the promise of a dynamic offense, so McCoy decided to take a hit and transfer to Texas. Most likely he will have to sit out a year although you can bet he’s appealing for a waiver based on the fact that he was allegedly lied to by Kingsbury and company, but even if he does have to sit out a year, he made the right choice.

Why? There are many reasons. First and foremost, the USC program is an absolute mess and recruiting has been horrible. McCoy would have been the only five-star in the class with limited talent around him and we all know Helton is on the hot seat and could be gone as early as the middle of next season.

But even as USC has been landing multiple five stars each year, they still haven’t developed them and have been one of the most underachieving programs in the country.

Meanwhile Texas is on the rise under Tom Herman, who isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and the Longhorns have a chance to be a national title contender over the next few years. And the Big 12 offenses are impossible to stop and Texas has shown they can develop big, physical receivers.

I had some doubt about whether McCoy would become a star at USC, so I gave him a “medium” bust factor just recently when he was still a USC signee. That bust factor falls to “low” at Texas where I think he can become an absolute star.

6'4" athletic 272 # blocking guard for the run game!!!

I hope they get him.
Hope we get him too.

I saw on Georgia Tech website he was listed at 6-3 280#. His HS film looked good (pulls very well, he is a OG/OC only) and his brothers HS film looks damn good also but he is just way bigger than every player he went against(6-6 340#).

I thought the guy from Virginia was around 330 and was like a 3 year starter....all ACC and all that. What happened to him?

Houston experienced significant revenue drop during Major Applewhite’s tenure

Houston’s decision to move on from Major Applewhite and hire Dana Holgorsen could have been driven as much by financial results as on the field ones.

At least that appears to be the case after the Dallas Morning News examined the football program’s finances for the 2017-18 fiscal year and saw a sharp drop off in revenue and ticket sales after Applewhite took over for Tom Herman.

In 2016-17, Houston’s football program accounted for $12.1 million of its total operating revenue. The season after Herman left to become Texas’ coach, the Cougars made only $6.3 million.

A $2.3 million dip in miscellaneous operating revenue accounted for the low overall total. Reduced ticket sales also played a key role. The Cougars earned $3.7 million for the 2017 season, a drop of $1.9 million from Herman’s final year.

While figures were not available for the most recent season with the Cougars, the trend seems pretty clear for the program as they slid from going 22-5 under Herman to just 15-11 over two seasons with Applewhite. The shortcomings on the balance sheet were likely made up with more support from the university at large, which has had no qualms about spending at a Power Five level in order to enhance the program’s stature.

280 is pretty light for a college lineman
