I wouldn’t read a ton into that. He has done a lot of edits for kids who aren’t necessarily favoring A&M.

IMO, the race is over for Smith. I think he commits during or at the end of his OV. 

The late offers aren't really in response to anything thats happened lately. More like discovering some solid talent once they were able to evaluate. The staff at one time had pinned their hopes on Wilson and Higgins. Smith replaces Wilson, but you still have Higgins spot and another.
