2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

Good chance the #1 player in Texas for 2019 OL Greene shuts it down this weekend after visiting aggy.... They are off to an impressive start for 2019.
I believe you made the point that aggy plays GA and Clemson early which doesn't bode well for them.  I wasn't to worried because 99.9% of the time they will aggy it up anyways.

IMO for the 2019 class wins are going to be even more important.

Texas needs to simply win games.

No doubt that aggy will be aggy but I think it is reasonable to assume that Jimbo and his staff will recruit very well in 2019. This doesn't mean Herman and staff won't. It just means the landscape will be much different in 2019 vs 2018.
You might be right. But I honestly don't expect Jimbo to do any better than Sumlin did. Recruiting wasn't Sumlin's problem. Aggy has done well in that regard, taking several players I can only wish we had (Daylon Mack anyone?).

Fisher had FSU to sell. FSU was already a national name with huge success behind it – and was a cool place in the eyes of millennials/recruits/players. The home of Deon Sanders.

Aggy, on the other hand, has no such national name, very little success behind it – and has never been a cool place in the eyes of most players/recruits/millennials.

I don't buy the Jimbo magic. I think his best days are behind him. Aggy bought used goods and I think it will get worse, not better, as each year passes. I also think Jimbo will get sick of aggy in record time. The paycheck will keep him coming to work each day.

Jake, Sam's lil brother, made 6A all-state 1st team as a LB (only one of three JRs in the defensive first team). Might be worth a closer look in a down year at LB in-state

Aggy is in hurry up mode to get Juniors on campus...if they commit this soon, they were already a hard lean.  Just like last years junior days were significant for TH and company, Jimbo and his staff need to garner as much momentum as possible as early as possible.  They likely start the season 2-2, finishing around 6-6.

TH is busy finishing up 2017, of all the Big 12 programs the Texas spring game is the only one that hasn't been announced.  Most if not all this kids will visit Texas, Aggy lean or not.

I said exact same thing few months ago when I was watching his tape. He could be a great player

"I feel like I committed too early and owe it to myself to see what opportunities are available to me. For this reason I am withdrawing my commitment to Texas A&M and will open my recruitment back up."

Bank on it.

Maybe he'll bring WR Elijah Higgins with him.
