2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

I didn't know where to post this and I damn sure wasn't going to post it in the Frenzy thread, so here goes.....After hearing all the aggy lamentations about how the new coaching staff wasn't pushing for recruits this year, and I enjoy the aggy meltdown occurring right now, I can't help but think their coaching staff may have written off the 2018 class as a loss. I'm hearing that the sheep humpers have a few 2019 recruits coming in this weekend. I know we all hate aggy with a passion but Leisure Suit Larry is still a good coach and recruiter
I agree with this. Their boards sound exactly like this board one year ago. Also, it seems they are on a similar plan as us.

We didnt win much last year and are still pulling talent. It can be done.

Luckily, their is plenty of talent to go around. I’m much more worried about OU who is still having a very good class this year than Aggy. We have to play OU and I honestly hate them more than Aggy. Why aren’t we worried about them?

Aledo ATH Jeffrey “Scooby” Carter de-commits from Oklahoma. Texas recently offered.

Read on other sites his dad is a lifelong Texas fan.

It'll be interesting to see how the staff has the in-state CB's in order of preference and who and who isn't a take.  Carter, Beason, Young, Wolfe, and Banks all have offers.

Thing is though, it sounds like we are in a great spot with Chris Steele from California, and if we get him how many of the above do you take?

It’s a dilemma for sure. With the way Texas recruited at DB this cycle they are certain to miss out on some ballers due to numbers.

OU has a good class practically every year. We still out-talent them in most years.

With aggy, its not so much a concern as it is much like watching a train wreck. No, this is not like Texas last year. We actually pulled some good recruits after Herman arrived. Thats not whats happening in "The Station" lol. Its like aggy suddenly got diagnosed with genital warts or something.

Their class is dwindling, not growing. They may yet finish okay but standing here now, it doesn't look good. And I think we have an obligation to witness as much of their misery as we can and hope it gets worse. lol

That might sound cruel and inhumane, but remember they do this to themselves. They wanted Jimbo badly and probably didn't think it through very well.

I leave you with a famous quote. I think its applicable here.

"To crush your enemies, to seem them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."

Just keep in mind without a DT coach and the LB coach just now getting out of the hospital, they have yet to see any 2019 guys with that position coach.  Meanwhile we are making DeMarvin Leal a priority with 3 visits already since the dead period ended and Jimbo can't get out of his own way.

I've heard staff intends to visit Leal weekly.

Texas will most likely got out of state for LB and possibly TE in 2019.

What's up with all the '19 OOS offers after the '18 "keep Texas talent in Texas" haul?
The staff is offering elite kids early on with how the early signing period has pushed up decision time frames. They still intend on Recruiting nationally and that requires arriving to the party early.
