Well I guess that's what I get for posting about worrying on DL recruiting.  Did SHA see this one coming lol??  I know a few months back Jeff Howe had an article about this kid and his HC Rodney Southern saying this was one of the best he's ever coached.  That's pretty high praise as Coach Southern has been around for a while and coached some stout teams in his tenure.  

Sweat must be pretty athletic as he's on the basketball team.  I noticed 247 has him ranked pretty high so another site must have him low for the mid 3* composite ( he's yet to be ranked by one of the services ).  Coaches must like something about this kid because other guys like Ibeneme, Ellison, and Ceaser don't have an offer over him.

Add Leal and an edge rusher or 2 and we may be in business on DL.  I wouldn't mind seeing Shemar Pearl land an offer down the line.

I cudda swore I saw a Twitter vid of him (Cain) running a laser timed 4.41 40...I'm sure that helps (as far as remaining a 5 star)

Not exactly. Tape > 40 times. Also his “laser timed” 4.41 is a huge jump from what he tested at the Opening Regional so I’m a tad bit suspicious. He doesn’t look 4.41 fast on tape so I’m taking it with a grain of salt.

Don't they use laser timed 40's at the NFL combine?  Idk, I've seen his speed at 4.59 (I think) and 4.41,  And depending on condition and the track (i.e. grass/field turf/"rubber" track) I can definitely see him clocking that 4.41.  My biggest question is does he get caught from behind?

Yes they use laser at the Combine. They also use them at the regional camps where he was timed at 4.65 which is a huge difference from 4.41 that he claimed on twitter. Borderline 4.3 guys are incredibly rare and again he isn’t that fast on tape so again I’m skeptical.

I’m not dissing the kid or his coach, but everyone will say he’s 4.4, but I’m just not buying it. His junior film isn’t 5-Star quality to me and that’s not a diss either. He could completely change my opinion with a very strong senior year, but I was expecting better when I turned the tape on.

I feel that.  Now with that said tho Daniel, do you prefer Glass ahead of this kid?  I know zero about Glass other than the comments I've read on these threads...

Folks love Cain but but imo, Glass is the one. Can do it all! Roschon and Glass would be lethal
