Juco LB Caleb Johnson decommitted from Iowa St. He is scheduled to OV Texas this weekend.

Will be just fine for a Big 12 LB. Gary Johnson has similar measurables. His tape impressed me when I watched him awhile back.

IDK his history, but he's a January enrollee which will be huge and saw he has 3 years to play 3.

Has anyone seen him play or his videos? How does he look? His bend around the edge? At 6-3 230, i assume he is being recruited to play BBacker. Can’t wait to watch his film. 

stalking his twitter, i saw a few HS plays of his. pretty good quickness, Lines up at DE, 3tech once and 5 tech twice. needs some technique work. i dont think he will be a Bbacker in college, i think he needs to have his hand on the ground. seems athletic and a couple of jump sacks(if you see the videos, youll know what im talking about, haha). Soph year was his first playing football so just scratching the surface and will need some refinement/RS year. listed at 6-4, 245 during his sr year and was voted in Louisiana as preseason state 2A player of the year over 5* studs Derek Stingley, Ishmael Sopsher and 4* Devonta Lee.

agreed. good speed, hustles, very athletic and tackles well. plays physical and times blitzes well(at least on highlights, could have had 30 offsides penalties not shown). listed at 6-1 220 and has 8 months before he plays a down so size isnt a concern. adept at dropping back in zone coverages. seems like he should be able to stay with RBs out the backfield. 

if i had to choose i would still take L Henry but C Johnson is a very good LB and would be happy if he chose us.

If we are recruiting PPowel , could he be another option at S instead of Cine? Powell can play pure S

Owens, like Overshown, IMO is a LB in he making, they just need a year in the program to marinate on STs and easy game reps.

Maybe a month ago... Owens might be the better player.  Recruiting ranking have Cine ranked way too high IMO. Plus it has been Georgia for a while.

Agree they would have. My ? Was, is that why we have been pursuing P Powell more recently Bc we were out of it with Cine, both are pure Safety targets.
