2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

I don’t think we’ll be able to flip any commits that A&M has. I believe these kids are attracted to the challenge of playing in the SEC with a national title winning coach. Now if Herman and co wins this year he can set the tone for the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Agreed. Then again he is slow playing few of those guys at the moment also. A&M is just the new thing in town, exactly like Herman and company last year. Don’t believe it has anything to do with SEC. if he bombs then they’ll be in same boat as UT this year.

Which aggy commits do ya'll see visiting the USC game (or any game this year) and/or taking an OV?

I think the only one we're still seriously recruiting is Leal.

I think, once the season starts, he'll see how little value there is in getting your tail beat every weekend in the SEC.

IMO, Jumbo is a formidable recruiter, but not the coach he once was. At FSU, talent basically flocked to him every single year because, well, it was FSU. Next year, the first-year honeymoon will be over and he'll have to recruit based off what could be some pretty dismal results in 2018.

He's got some star power in his class so far, but a lot of those are also head cases so no telling whether they have an impact on the program or not.

Yeah if he doesn't change the tide this year and win big then we will forever end up like Tennessee. Nat champs of long ago with hype every year not mounting to much.

If WIlson decides to look around with the Ohio State mess going on he will give aggy a hard look..

This is not even a fair fight right now... Aggy and ou are kicking our asses..

His 1st twitter follow after the Meyer news broke was Craig, aggy WR coach.  My question is how many more can they take?

Aggy class is at the limit I think.. you can't tell me the 75mill man isnt using some of his salary with these recruits.

Yep I said it, crucify me i don't care just get me to game day week 1

OU is understandable. Bad as I hate to say it. But they are def proven on the field. A&M, no idea. This is hands down the biggest year for Texas football program

All you have to do is look at how some of these recruitments went down.  They didn't dish out 75mill. to not get recruits on board.

And after all that, Dylan Wright just committed to aggy
I've said it before, but while I liked Wright and thought he would be a good addition, WR is at the lower end of my wish list for the remainder of this class.  I like the 3 they have so far and I like the 3 they got last year.  Get 3 more solid pieces next year and keep it going.  Would I love Wilson? Absolutely, and I would not turn him away.  LB, DL, and OL should be the priority right now (with RB right behind).  They got their bookends on the OL, now they need middle section.  Just win now and the rest will take care of itself. Words of wisdom from Mr. Seahorn.

On a positive note we probably have at least 10 spots left and with a good season they can be filled with some real studs.... September 1st cannot get here fast enough..

We're in the top ten right now and we'll probably be in the top ten when February rolls around.   A good double digit win season will help us a lot but its just a new day dawning in recruiting.  Just too many programs pulling for guys.

This is my take as well. Well said.
