There is another Henderson at Fort Bend Travis, flying under the radar.  Kid named John Henderson - everyone on here should remember him.  Class of 2020, but is still only 15 years old - young for the class.  He is 6'21/2", 225 lbs. starting varsity defensive end.  And he is fast. He gave Katy's AA OT fits during their playoff game.

I think everyone should see the Texas Relays at least 4, maybe 5 times. Look how lucky Ross got. He met a beautiful Texas track star attending UT.

My dad used take me down each spring for the Texas Relays and/or the state track meet, back when it was at DKR. I remember sitting in the stands one meet when it was just pouring rain. He left me and my uncle for about 30 minutes, came back with trash bags, which we made holes in for our eyes. LOL

His idea of inexpensive rain gear. lol

Yep. I recall taking 2 finals one year. I don’t recall why the meet was so much later. Early May?  Then making it down to watch my brother win the mile. It was a big day. 

Loved the Texas relays. Still do, but I really loved it in DKR.

The first state track meet I covered as a sports writer was 1985. I saw the National HS record in the 200 broken 3 times, the last by Robot Martin. That’s like Kate being your first date, nothing else will ever match that.

The Richardson stuff is going to be delicate. If he is ever in Austin, then I expect any type of interaction with the staff to be kept under wraps. 

But when people start floating the “secret visitor” stuff out there it makes it hard to keep stuff a secret because it always ends up getting leaked and spooking the recruit/school he is committed to.
