2018 Recruiting Board/Thread

I'll borrow space here for a post on tonight's title game. It ties to recruits anyway.

Trying to get work done on the side, but every time I look over at the screen, Georgia has the ball.

With 13-0 lead, looking at the Bulldogs QB on the sideline what I see is a grown man.

Until the Longhorns can stay in the program and develop a Grown Man's game here, we aren't going to be knocking heads and asserting ourselves on the field.

I know I am old school, starting here in Fall of 1960 and living through all the title teams... on campus for first 3 and in town for the 4th.. but I will never waver from the fact that it requires senior (and junior) leadership and maturity to put a solid team on the field, along with star players who have developed.

We need 21 and 22-year old student-athletes, some as 5-year players having a red shirt season. We need to stop relying on freshmen, sophs, some juniors, and a handful of seniors, with good players pondering their NFL career after playing a couple dozen games over 2+ seasons.
If I'm not mistaken Georgia's  quarterback is a freshman.

A commit comes from a recruit and counts toward the class and would be official on NSD-II.

A grad transfer counts only toward the 85 and is not a part of the recruiting class. I had no idea Anderson would announce so soon. Most wait until after spring camp to do that.

You are clearly not keeping up. So I have PM'd you the golden envelope sealed inside a mayonnaise jar and kept under Kate's mattress for the past few weeks. Tag, you're it! lol
When is Anderson announcing?  Haven't seen anything on his plan to announce.  Of course Hornsports and you guys are my only outlets for information.

No you did not give me no envelope lol this ain't the Oscars.. And yes I have been keeping up thank you lol.
Ok, speaking to the showtime who checks her mail.

How's he done at the college level?
UNT was a train wreck.  But OC & HC are two different worlds.

Maybe one of our research warriors can tell us how his time at Pitt panned out?  That’s more relevant.

I was just making the point he is not yet a "grown man". At least not football wise.
Wasn't questioning you, just thinking out loud about his situation and advantages.  Now that gundy is a grown man...with a mullet.

I saw quotes from him today. He wants to take visits and definitely sounds very interested in Texas. He had a list of UCLA Stanford and couple others.

Georgias qb may be a freshman but he looks grown...he is definitely a play with the big boys body type...I agree that you need juniors and seniors to provide both leadership and have the maturity along with body type...can't rely constantly on skinny freshman and sophomores...would be nice to have Malik and hill for another yr for their senior leadership and simply cuz I don't think they are elite nfl ready quite yet

Speaking of freshman and sophomores it's too bad we don't get those big body types like bama does as freshman
