Absolutely. Given Texas’ dilemma at tackle, getting a 3 year starter FBS starter would be fantastic. And not to mention he should have no problem getting into school.
I understand he graded well in pass protection. And thats without much coaching.

It would immediately solve the LT issue, IMO. But not the LT depth.

Well, wouldn't he potentially take over LT and Rodriquez take RT?  I know Rod had a tough time in the bowl, but it was his first game of the year.  Even Williams had a tough time in his first game against Maryland.  Kerstetter and Okafor would be backups with Cosmi and JP on 3rd team.  RS Ghirmai and Moore.  That seems like positive depth at the OT positions.  The position that worries me the most is backup C.  Shack gets injured every year so they need a quality backup there.

When does the dead period officially end?  And will we see guys taking OV's this upcoming weekend?

Also, when does winter workouts begin?

I think Kerstetter might be the guy you are looking for a C. I remember some guys projecting him at C last year and he played C in the Army AA game if I'm correct. Don't know which position Sam Cosmi is going to play though?

Yeah they would need another body for sure. I believe Herman already said they were looking for multiple grad transfers.

I think Kerstetter kicks inside to Guard if Rodriguez slides to RT.

Dead period is until January 11th. Winter workouts start up once school is back in session.

Cosmi is viewed as a tackle and some think he is a long term answer at LT.

Which makes Anderson even more intriguing. That would allow Cosmi to get some reps before starting in 2019.

For 2018, as of today my ideal depth chart might look something like this:

- LT: Anderson (or other grad transfer) / Cosmi / JP Urquidez

- LG: Vahe / Angilau

- C: Shakelford OR Kerstetter

- RG: Grandy / Hudson

- RT: Rodriguez / Okafor / JP Urquidez

Ideally we would pick up another grad transfer at guard, I've put Angilau in the two deep barring he doesn't go on his mission trip. With that we would have a solid 2 deep for know that would allow our incoming guys to redshirt as long as the injury bug doesn't bite.

If we can get another grad transfer, it would give us better depth. I don't like having Angilau on the chart.

You've also got Tope Imade and Garrett Thomas, who will enter year 3. They'll figure out a way to get the lights on.

Yup. I would like Cosmi to stay in the incubator as long as possible unless he is an absolute stud. Kerstetter is better suited on the interior, but his versatility is certainly a plus when it comes to getting the best 5 out there.

Thomas is one of the linemen who elected to move on after the season along with Cuney and McMillon.

Angilau can play backside, he isn't ready in pass protection. Ideally RS or 25% snaps.

LT:Anderson/Cosmi/Grandy/JP

LG:Grandy/Vahe/Hudson

C:Shakelford/Kerstetter/Rodriguez

RG:Hudson/Rodriguez/Oakfor

RT:Kerstetter/Rodriguez/Cosmi/JP

seconds grad transfer, assuming he is decent would help a lot.

Chang started following this guy:

Looks like Coburn approves, here's a tweet from him re Jefferson.

Keondre Coburn⁹⁹@KeondreCoburn99There all sleeping on my bro @primetime_100 most definitely one of the best players I went against this week

Here are the 3 grad transfers that have started following Warehime or Warehime following them.

Calvin Anderson (Rice)

Casey Tucker (Stanford)

Antonio Riles JR (Florida)

IT mentioned they think another grad transfer OL guy will visit soon and it isn't the kid from Rice.

Im hoping it is the Stanford kid.
