Anyone hear any whispers about the 10th assistant, judging by what Ohio st did with theirs I think Herman is gonna have a shot to make a splash hire. Hopefully he goes best available and not limit himself to a certain side of the ball. To me Mark Helfrich would be a home run.

Assuming the other teams know he is committed.  This is a weird deal if recruits sign early and do not disclose until February.  Of course if he isn't signed he is still fair game in the recruiting world.

Committing, behind the scenes or publicly, has never stopped a school from recruiting a prospect.
