I really don’t know why we are jumping to conclusions that this was in reference to Texas. There are plenty of 6-6 teams around the country he could have been referring to.

Yeah I don’t buy a lick of this considering that Texas has had two QBs committed for months. Sounds like an OSU fan trying to manufacture a story that their QB Commit big timed Texas.

Yeah there’s no way i would entertain this with kids because it’s trouble waiting to happen. If a kid signs early then he needs to be announced within that period and not February.

Anyone hear any whispers about the 10th assistant, judging by what Ohio st did with theirs I think Herman is gonna have a shot to make a splash hire. Hopefully he goes best available and not limit himself to a certain side of the ball. To me Mark Helfrich would be a home run.

ICYMI: Jahmir Johnson committed to Tennessee. Was supposed to visit Austin in January. Derek Warehime has missed on a lot of prospects this cycle.

I assume Helfrich is making millions sitting on his sofa for the next few years after a buyout from being get fired.  I'm thinking a 10 th asst job won't pay enough to get a guy like that interested.  I am on board with that idea though!  OC in waiting.
