Doesn’t mean they did a bad job selling him. It’s tough to flip a kid, regardless of what school they are committed to, when they have never visited and have very little familiarity with the coaching staff.

Yeah, I kinda figure if you're trying to flip a kid the best a staff can hope for is time to build a relationship with him.  I'm sure by offering the staff wanted him to refrain from signing early in hopes of giving them more time to build that relationship.  I'm assuming the recruiting process is "tough"/stressful for a kid and signing is the culmination of everything and a big relief.  Unless Texas was his dream from the time he 1st strapped on a helmet, I can understand him (or any kid for that matter) sticking with who he's already built a relationship and being thankful that the recruiting process is over.  Good luck to him!

Correct but word on this thread as of last night seemed as if he was a lock. So I was basically saying it def wasn’t.

I listened to the entire LHN signing show, but I didn’t hear anything about Byron Hobbs’ LOI.  Isn’t that Mutha Hustla’s son?

Maybe the school fax is busy or on the fritz, or did I just miss it?

We got out of school yesterday, and I got over the flu Monday night. The timing was excellent!

Nobody said he was a lock. It seemed as if Texas had a lot going in their favor, but they still had to seal the deal. It's hard for a kid to commit to a place he's never seen or really heard from until a day before he signs

I'm not sure if he's the #1 target per se, but he's a solid take. He could come in and take a starting spot right away.
