Do we have a shot at Luke Ford?
Not necessarily. The three recruitments that come to mind where Alabama could become a thorn in Texas' side is Bobby Brown, DWA, and Ford. As for Michigan and Georgia, Texas hasn't really been in any dog fights with them just yet, but it's still early.Uh, Daniel, haven't we been going against those guys for almost everyone we wanted.
No disrespect intended, but that's who we want to compete with-in homes and on the field.
Hook 'em!

I'm not saying Texas doesn't want to be in head to head battles with those schools. All I said was that they have a shot with Ford, but Alabama is the perceived favorite and you got stiff competition along with them.
The staff doesn't back down from competition and will give the guys mentioned their best shot as they always do.
I think I know a couple you maybe referring to SHABama and Michigan to a lesser extent, are the competition from what I was told. But make no mistake, Texas made quite an impression on Ford. I was told the staff feels very confident.
I was also told there are a couple of targets who could fall before end of July. The Woodard commitment may have some influence here. Stay tuned.
Still more in August.
It's raining 4-star Houston players. lol
Texas definitely made an impression on Ford and his family. They are squarely in it, but there is still a lot of time on the clock in this recruitment. I'm keeping an eye on how Alabama handles Ford and DWA. DWA's decision date is visiting Tuscaloosa again before he decides. Do they press for his commitment or do they play the long game with Ford?Bama and Michigan to a lesser extent, are the competition from what I was told.
