2018 Recruiting Board/Thread

Expect Patterson to go full court press with the negative recruiting pitch. 

As always.

TCU goes 11-3 and can barely manage #20 rank class.  Herman is eating his lunch in recruiting #3 and soon on the field as well.

TCU and A&M are the two schools to worry about most in case of a flip, but I’m a little less worried about him flipping. 

Expect Patterson to go full court press with the negative recruiting pitch. 

I worry more about TCU. Patterson is well known in this state. TCU has rightful bragging rights since they've joined the conference. He negative recruits us pretty well. And he's a defensive mastermind reputation that defensive players are drawn to.

As opposed to Jimbo, the guy who sounds like a car salesman, fresh on the scene but not a real familiar face, who is known for offense from his time years ago as an OC.

So Coburn anywhere near Patterson bothers me. I hope this worry is all for nothing.

Patterson is a good defensive coach.  Why is his hatred so deep for Texas?  he seems to relish in beating us and negative recruiting.  Patterson really poured it on when Cumbie was interviewing for our OC.

I hear you Sha. If it were another recruit, I might get a bit worried, but I get the feeling Meekins has him prepared for what they are going to tell him.

Guys think about it for a second Texas had been recruiting the hell out of Coburn since day one..  Remember they tried that mess on Jamison..? They haven't let there foot off the gas pedal then they are surely is hell not to let it off the pedal now

Don't like his recruiting tactics, but he does more with less than anybody in the country. Give him his props for that.

Yeah I know that's why in all honesty yeah he does know how to coach his ass off I can say that for sure

Posters on Inside Texas saying the premium TexAgs board has info that Ag coaches tried to visit Ossai and were told not to bother.  Am hoping like hell Longhorn Frenzy can get some screen captures along with the resulting meltdown Ag posts.

I think the Coburn bit was 247 saying they "think" he'll visit TCU.  The Texas and TCU 247 boards don't have a topic saying he is visiting.  I'm pretty sure those TCU mods would chest thumping about it already.  I'm not saying he won't visit but as of now neither site has made a topic about it.

 I certainly don't know but it may have something to do with his wanting the job when Mack left. 

If I remember correctly he was not even interviewed. I think it pissed him off.
