that was quite obvious that he was a contingency plan. This staff is not settling for anything this recruiting cycle and rightfully so they dont need to. They have no even coached on game this season and they have tied up just about every elite recruit there is. Might as well swing for the fence when you have the number two recruiting class before the season starts.

Question for everyone, if we win 10 games this season do you think that we sign any elite out of state talent that no one is even thinking about?

I don't think so. There are only so many spots left open and the number of players we're still recruiting outnumbers those spots.

I think not having an 11th hour romance is a good thing. It means that everything we did went according to plan.

Could be. Coburn hoping in the boat may have changed things there, assuming they saw him as a nose.

I'm not sure they're not content with Coburn being the only NT in the class. I have heard that since Coburn came aboard, they're moving their attention to the 4i position. I also heard that Bobby Brown has a spot no matter what. If we get Perkins first, we'll still take BB. If we get BB first, we may not take Perkins.

Yup. Seems like the number on the defensive line will be three or so with the names to watch being Brown, Perkins, and Daniel Carson.

So what are the percentages of a chance we get BB, Perkins, and or Carson?
I don't think we take all three. Of course, I have no idea. Its just all speculation, even when you have some inside info. Things change, quickly.

Will we take a third TE? Didn't think so, but apparently we will.

Those last couple of open spots are going to be highly sought after when Texas starts winning this season.

Getting Brown and Carson would be a great DL haul. Carson is way underrated IMO, look at the offer sheet, also a basketball player.

Those are all the DTs correct? Who is the most realistic option at DE?
They are end types in the odd front schemes, and more likely 3 techs in even fronts. Though a couple of them could maybe be passable at end in a 4-3.
