SignUp Now!Texas is still very much in this for Moses. Don't underestimate the recruiting powers of Charlie Strong. If LSU continues to be on a steep decline, this race will get interesting. Remember that Moses was once committed to LSU, and grew up around Baton Rouge. Nick Saban is able to pitch championships and playing in the NFL. Charlie Strong can also pitch playing in the NFL, but not on Bama's caliber. This race will be very interesting in December. In the end, recruits listen to what their family has to say. There is nobody in the country better at developing relationships with recruits and their family member's than Charlie Strong. When LSU gets into conference play I think you'll know more on how Moses is feeling.Man, it's like nobody here has confidence about Moses. Quite frankly I think we have a great shot at landing him! At the very least he's saying all the right things about us
I absolutely agree with you. I know most people don't want to get their hopes up, but I believe Texas has a slightly better than even chance of landing Mr. Moses. His father likes Charlie Strong, Dylan likes Charlie Strong, he named Texas his leader at one point (I haven't heard him say LSU or Bama has knocked Texas from that spot), and he looks up to Malik. Maybe I missed it when he said Texas was no longer his leader.Man, it's like nobody here has confidence about Moses. Quite frankly I think we have a great shot at landing him! I wouldn't be surprised if Charlie was cooking up something like this. I'm one that feels like Moses is a long shot, but I don't count out Charlie after last year.If I'm Texas I have Moses, Browning, and Hines visit on the same weekend since they are all early enrollees.
I got to chat with a friend today in Austin. He went over things that he had to say, most of which has already been reported here and elsewhere.
BUT, he did lay one thing on me that I had not heard . . . . Alex Leatherwood, the OT who is committed to Bama and called the UT staff after the Notre Dame game . . . . Alex is part of a group of recruits who more or less talk a lot and have formed their own little click. After our game, three of the group called Leatherwood and pushed him to give UT a look, really encouraged him to reach out to UT coaches.
Those three are not on the Texas verbal commitments list. Browning, Hines, Wilson.
Boom.
Y'all stop it!!! It absolutely makes no sense gettin' this CRUNK bout crootin' so early in September!!! Y'all gonna get my pressure up!#errbody \\m//
I like that. I see what you did there.i'm not sure moses is right for us. charlie only got 5 commandments.
David Shaw came down to see Walker Little this past Friday and Little is taking a trip to Stanford this weekend. To bad it's not an OV so he'll for sure be going back. A USC win would be nice. IMO he is the highest priority left on offense, potentially talking about Williams replacement at Left Tackle.
IMO, this has Obi Eboh written all over it. Ring a bell? Long-time Texas commit, flips to Stanford several weeks before signing day. If Little does go to Stanford, who can blame him? One of the best education/football combos in the nation. Better than Texas, for sure. It'll get interesting with him. The best thing Charlie can do is win the parents over. This is a topic my buddy brought up yesterday. He seems to think Little really wants to be a Horn but has dreamed of playing and attending Stanford. So its going to be a battle between the hot love affair of today vs the longtime love crush.
He seems to think Texas wins this one, but thinks the Stanford offer means something to him. Says his parents will support going to Stanford, but would love to see him at UT where they can be closer. But this is his choice.
I would say the trip he'll take this weekend will tell him whether or not he wants to go back. If he's not blown away, I would doubt the second (OV) visit happens. I think he commits to UT before the second visit happens.
IMO, the wheels would have to fall off for this to not go Texas' way.
And of course, they still can.
Walker Little has 1st round talent written all over him. In the end I would like to see him pick Texas when he sends in that LOI. Do you think this one goes all the way to NSD?This is a topic my buddy brought up yesterday. He seems to think Little really wants to be a Horn but has dreamed of playing and attending Stanford.
