2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

I've been reading that UT is a longshot with Moses, but he likes Charlie and we have our ace recruiter which is Malik on him. If we have a great defense this year which I expect and an exciting offense, then will be right in the mix.

Yes. Apparently he is visiting aggy for their spring game this weekend. I think regardless Strong will stay on him. Long way to signing day 2017.
Agreed, I read somewhere that he may actually be a better fit as an interior lineman. If we can get him and Little that would be a great class! Long way to go, but fun to speculate!

Per Reed in 247 article.

“To be honest, A&M caught up because Coach (Jim) Turner puts players in the league and he’s coached in the league,†Reed said. “He can coach me up, and coach me to that next level. The same thing at Oklahoma, Coach (Bill) Bedenbaugh can do that exact same thing.â€

Obviously a good signing, but Reed is not a must get. Walker Little is a must get. He is 1st round NFL talent and will/should be a 5 star prospect when all is said and done. All being said, I still hope Reed commits. Mb, why do you think Reed would commit aggy when he just visited and didn't commit? Do you think he visited Texas after and realized that aggy was a better fit for him and where he wanted to be?

Recruits aren't the only ones keeping a close eye on Strong/Sumlin this season.

Players from the 2016 signing class that will be playing for the University of Houston are keeping close tabs.  Why?  They know a departure (willingly or via termination) opens the real discussion/possibility for Tom Herman to consider leaving UH for a Texas or Texas A&M.  It was something the 4 & 5 star signees vetted before they inked with UH, but as we all know things can turn on a dime when opportunities present themselves.

Exciting week for the good guys. Didn't get to drop in and enjoy the roller coaster with my son being born two weeks ago but I've been keeping an eye on our upward trend!
Congrats on the new addition to your family! And Welcome Back!
