Unwise squib kick with little time before end of first half allowed the field goal to cut Georgia's deficit from 17  to 14. Then with go-ahead gift scoop & score and little time left late in 4th, allowed Bulldogs to drive the field and tie it up. Then... the list goes on in OT.

If OU had to lose, what better way than double OT. And again, college football's ranked teams are giving us games that resemble flag football. Or, I guess, routine Big12 football, sans Todd Orlando defense in the mix.

OU - Georgia combined team stats:

45 first downs

1,058 yards

102 points

Compare UT - Missouri. Texas wins by 17 points. Combined team Stats:

34 first downs.

670 total yards

49 points

The second game is more defensive. Alabama looking to have that New England Patriot 'system' and edge.

If the Tide takes this one and the title, will be lots of beer talk in the off season. Conference runner-up and 4th place seed romps.

The fact they may have the best 2 teams but no matter what happens, they will end up with a losing record overall which shows they're a top heavy conference. Just because you have the NC in your conference doesn't make it the best one.

Funny how both lower ranked teams won last night. Who knows how tOSU, UCF (who beat the team that beat Bama) or even USC would have done. Until they have a formula that includes conference champions, you will always have a "what if".

And UCF beat the team Auburn that ALSO beat Georgia.... funny this morning a guy called in to ESPN radio stating that’s what happens when a big 12 team plays SEC. saying how big 12 is weak because HoeU got challenged 1 time this year then the next week played a Kansas etc. compared to Bama who played Mississippi st Auburn LSU... news flash... Alabama played 1 team with 10 wins this year and that was Fresno st AND LSU lost to Troy. What an idiot

True. When we won the Big 12 in 2005, we beat the other division champ 70-3 in the championship. CU cemented the reputation of the North division.

Eric over at IT thinks it is ou right now. Still thinks Texas has a chance but the coaches waited to late to offer here and its going to come back to bite them. Eric is pretty dialed in so until he thinks its Texas it won;t be.
