Perhaps the dumbest thing we'll see all week.

It actually makes sense to me. The coaching and facilities in Texas HS football are miles ahead of any other state. I've heard for years that getting kids from Texas to improve dramatically in college is more of a hit or miss proposition than kids from impoverished areas of SEC country. I'm thinking this is a big reason Coach Strong is expanding OOS recruiting so much.

Strong knows what he's doing. Hence how quick he signed Cherry's transfer papers. I don't think we should panic at all. It's sad to see a recruit go but I'm glad it's before the season gets underway. Catalon wasn't going to get the PT he desired and like the above posts mentioned Cherry was a big fish in a small pond,talked a great game but at the end it just wasn't meant to be. I wish them the best of luck but when Texas holds that national championship trophy soon I'll be even more happy. Hook em!!!!!

Competition is going to weed out the ones that cannot compete. Although it is sad to lose Catalon and Cherry, Texas will end up stronger without them.

2015 recruiting class not looking too hot right now either, and we aren't in full pads into 2015 season....SMH

DT leaves, WR can't qualify, TE looks to be in same boat, LB transferring. ....Sad, just sad. The good thing is 2016 may end up being a big class after all.
