2016 Recruiting - Week #24-26

Grayland Arnold has shut down his recruitment and is sticking with Baylor per his twitter
I'm ok with that one. I just didn't see him in the numbers they have to work with this year. UT probably has 14-17 spots remaining for this class. Now, if Patrick Hudson gets a Baylor tattoo then I'll be disappointed. I just don't like Briles and would not let my son play for someone that reminds me of a sleazy used car salesman.

Doesn't look good. When has any clearing house issue ever lasted past August 1, and ended up where the kid got to play for us that year ?

I think Briles tends to make the kids stick to their commitment by preaching loyalty. Which isn't bad,but I would rather a kid take all of his visits before committing to program.

This strategy rarely works in the long run, just look at how many Baylor commits we've flipped.

2015 recruiting class not looking too hot right now either, and we aren't in full pads into 2015 season....SMH

DT leaves, WR can't qualify, TE looks to be in same boat, LB transferring. ....Sad, just sad. The good thing is 2016 may end up being a big class after all.

I don't know, GBT. You'd be hard pressed to find any other team in the big 12 (save Kansas) who is starting three freshmen at this point in the fall training.

We've had three practices and already three freshmen are playing first team.

With any and every crop (even if you're literally talking vegetables) there will be some that need to be culled out. Doesn't mean it was a bad crop at all.

Pick your head up and smile. Your gloom and doom isn't justified.
