What amazes me is that the Aggies look at the BIG 12 as an inferior conference to the SEC but yet they hardly ever won anything in the BIG 12 so they decided "we're tired of taking these ass whoopings in the BIG 12 so let's move to the SEC so we can get our ass kicked some more" And what has happened ever since they moved to the SEC? They had one good season "with Mike Sherman's players" and haven't done shit since then in the SEC. When they moved to the SEC all they did was open the state of Texas to the entire Southeastern Conference especially Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss. Shit I bet those 3 SEC teams I just named have pulled more talent out of the state of Texas then Texas A&M has. Aggies move to the SEC an absolute failer.

Before we say 'this analyst was wrong' or 'that analyst was right' we need to remember a couple of things:

1. They're dealing with 17 year old kids who are likely to changed their minds a dozen times a day

2.  They're dealing with coaches whose lively-hood is dependent upon the decision making of a 17yr old kid who is likely to change his mind a dozen times a day.

No one had Porter to Texas - likely because no one from the Texas side (coaches or players) had heard much of anything from Porter.  Usually no communication means no commitment - but Porter is a different kind of cat.

Higdon says that Porter called Charlie this morning and told him he wanted to commit.  Up until then no one knew which way he was leaning.
