With Reese gone, we need DJax even more

If we miss on him too, then another possible ILB is Giovanni LaFrance of St. Augustine (LA).  He likes us and goes to same school as D’Andre Christmas-Giles and Jamal Pettigrew, so an offer could make things interesting with that entire group

Another possible is 4-star Brendan Ferns from Ohio.  He is the guy who contacted us.  Apparently we told him (or his dad) at that time that we thought we were looking good in the middle.  But that was pre-Reese-decision.

4-star DT Stephon Taylor of McDonogh 35, LA was was supposed to release a Top 5 today but did not.

We should make it when he does but LSU seems to be the fav for now (then TCU or Auburn)

As it was pointed out on another site - less than a week ago McCulloch and Cuffee were aggy locks. Now most have Texas as the favorite.

We really have no idea how this is going to shake out. But it's going to be a exciting 6 weeks.

Bobby Burton has put in CB's to Texas for Brandon Jones, Irvin Smith, and Zach Shackleford.

Sounds like Shackelford is sticking with KSU

We are still working on flipping Hudson and Urquidez

IT has spoken with Hudson and he has at least considered "the devastating potential" of a Texas line with he, Imade, Okafor and Delance.

Yea I know.  Charlie pulled it out last year.  So I don't doubt he can close recruits again.

As of now though, with only 3 of the top 50 in state is pathetic.

They say just 3 weeks ago one of them was silent to aggy, one was Georgia and the other "was hanging out in College Station more than Manziel did his sophomore year."  Looks much better for Texas now with all three

If we go by the ESPN list, this is an above-average year in state, with 48 of the top 300 from Texas

38 of that 48 are now committed, leaving only 10 left uncommitted
